• We enjoy embarking on road trips and opted for a car rental, we discovered that Japan’s public transportation system is among the finest and more economical options, rendering car rental unnecessary. 
• Navigating parking in Tokyo can be quite a hassle. We strongly advise against driving in the city; taxis and trains are ample for getting around. Consider renting a car only when you plan to leave Tokyo for your subsequent destination.
• Autumn was perfect to see Mt. Fuji with some snow on top, abundant sunlight, and mostly clear days, you do not want clouds near Fuji san. However, one should be mindful of the early sunsets during this season; while there are over 10 hours available for exploration, the sun typically sets before 5 PM.
• Don’t miss the opportunity to collect stamps as a fun souvenir of your travels. Many places in Japan, such as JR stations, Govt buildings, sightseeing and tourist places, offer unique stamps. Simply inquire wherever you go if they have a stamp available; “Sutanpu wa arimasu ka”.
• Be sure to try local delicacies at Izakayas and street stalls for an authentic culinary experience.
• Japanese people are renowned for their humility and exceptional hospitality. Some basic Japanese phrases to remember; Konnichiwa (Hello), Ohayou gozaimasu (Good morning), Arigatou gozaimasu (Thank you – I bet this would be the most popular), Sumimasen — Excuse me / Sorry.
• Remember, wherever your travels take you, you’re likely to encounter a lot of crowd both local and international tourists. Everyone will be eager to capture their moments, so you may find an impromptu queue system in place for photo opportunities. It’s important to adhere to this system. Let’s show respect for each other, as well as for the natural surroundings and wildlife. Aim to be a considerate traveler, not the one who disrupts this harmony.
